How and Why to Take W5

When a patient can see a pill that has an imprint W5, it means that they are taking a medication that is called Sertraline hydrochloride. These days, this kind of medication is widely utilized in order to treat such widespread ailments as panic disorder, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, social anxiety, and so on. It belongs to a class of medications that are called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. However, many doctors do not recommend to take W5 during pregnancy and when a woman is breast feeding.

It is a popular antidepressant that actually affects essential chemicals that are produced by people’s brain. This situation causes it to become unbalanced, which usually leads to the depression, anxiety, panic, and other obsessive-compulsive symptoms. Unfortunately, there are many patients who suffer from this type of ailment these days. Some medical specialists can prescribe W5 to treat other ailments that were not mentioned above as well.

Before someone will start taking this medication, it is always better to consult with a doctor and get more information about its actions, possible outcomes and side effects. It is forbidden to take W5 if a patient makes use of other MAO inhibitors, like selegiline, furazolidone, rasagiline, isocarboxazid, phenelzine, and some others. If there is a need to start this type of treatment urgently, it is highly recommended to stop taking the drugs mentioned above at least for 14 days. That’s because there is a high risk to have dangerous drug interactions that may lead to a number of serious side effects.

The main downside is connected with the fact that, when people start to take W5, they may have different suicidal thoughts. It is especially serious for patients who are younger than 24 years old. That’s why it is advised to visit a doctor on a regular basis when starting to take this type of medication for the first time. And it should continue at least for the first twelve weeks of one’s treatment.

There can be different symptoms connected with the usage of W5. Patients need to inform their doctors about any possible changes in their medical conditions. These signs may include: anxiety, troubles with sleeping, behavior and mood changes, panic attacks, and so on. These are some of the most common signs of experiencing different side effects related to taking W5. However, there can be other more severe symptoms as well. People need to consult with healthcare specialists about that.
